WHERE THE HELL IS MY TRAFFIC!

Forgive the title of this post, but considering what it's about and the number of persons (millions of who) i'm quite sure are asking the same question everyday, i figured it's kind of an appropraite one. Its been about three weeks since i started this blog, and its been a great getaway for me, sharing ideas, thoughts and passions. But then again it only makes a difference when you check on your sites statistics to see that you've been getting visitors. Right now i get an average hits of about 20 persons daily which for a pretty young blog isn't all that bad, (my first experience blogging was far worse). But there's always that feeling of better expectations, the want for more, probably a hundred hits daily might be okay, two hundred maybe? The thing is everyone hopes for a great result or turnout for his hardwork, so after writing a great post, taking the time and extra effort just to make it perfect for your audience, you upload it and expect to see a great statistics about your post view, but shockingly it's just a handful of readers. It's just like renting a 2000 sitter conference hall for just an audience of 20. It's a waste and dissapointment *don't you agree?*.

First i identified the problem (which is my lack of traffic) and
naturally, went about trying to  discover a solution.
Here's a tip on how i did that.

Ask questions from more experienced bloggers,* best way to do that is to join a blogging forum or search out articles or blog posts relating to your problem and leave comments.*

After all my research and all the advice i got from different great people, three suggestion always kept coming up, so i want to share that with you guys. Hope it helps.

THINGS YOU SHOULD DO TO GET YOUR TRAFFIC RATINGS UP!

Guest Posting; this suggestion came up at almost all articles and blog posts i read.
Writing a great post for a more popular blog than yours, and of course inserting your own blog link somewhere in the post so readers of the blog you are guest posting on could then check out your own blog.

SEO; of course being able to manipulate the search engines robots to feature your blog post as one it's top search results of searches relevant to your blog topic does alot for your blog stats, as there's no telling the number of people interested in the information you are delivering in your blogpost.

Promoting your blog; paying for listings on popular websites and blog directories, integrating your blog with social media networks such as google+, facebook, twitter, writing good and audience engaging posts.
